トニー賞の候補が一昨日発表になりました。ヴァネッサ・レッドグレイヴがまた入っておりますが、これをロンドンでやり直してくれたら見に行くんだけど...。トム・ストッパードの2003年作品の米初演に出演したジェニファー・イーリーが「リアル・シング」に続いてまた候補に。これもロンドンでやってくれたら飛びつくけど...。《メアリー・ポピンズ》はなぜだかリチャード・エアがまた演出候補にならず。スティーヴン・ソンドハイムの《カンパニー》再演が3つだけって。ジョン・カンダー&フレッド・エッブの最後の作品《Curtains》はルパート・ホームズが加筆で8部門に。やっぱり今年は《Spring Awakening》が一番の話題のようで...。《The Little Dog Laughed》の台本は今月スタートのミュージカル《ザナドゥ》の台本も担当している人なので、健闘を祈るばかり...。
