ついでなので、上演が終わる毎にページが無くなるシカゴ・リリック・オペラのシーズン・プログラムを。ラジオ放送したころにはサイトの情報がなくなっていて探すのに面倒なので。ところで、どのページにも作曲家の名前がデザインに組み込まれていてサーチでひっかからないというのも困ったもん。
オープニングは《ジュリオ・チェーザレ》のチームによるENOのプロダクション(といってもマドリードで上演した原語版がDVDなった方が有名)を上演する《マノン》なので、DVD収録よりキャストがいい感じなので、こっちで録ってもらいたかったというか、見たい(聴きたい)。同じ時期に上演するトゥルーズの演目だった《真珠とり》のページは男のx首写真を並べてある種の客を呼ぼうとしているのが恐ろしい...というか笑った。漁師の話だから別に上半身はだけててもいいけど、それにしてもネイサン・ガンって上着を着きない役ばかり。《蝶々夫人》は古いハロルド・プリンスの演出をわざわざ上演するのは困ったもん。《ミカド》のようなとんちんかんな日本になっていそう。ENOのアントニー・ミンゲラ版(ちょい「SAYURI」はいっている節がありそうで恐いけど)は来期MET再演して上映もあるから借りるのはだめなんだろうけど、スカラ座のを借りれば、美術と衣装はおかしな所はないんだけど (プッチーニ祭のは論外だし)。シーズン最後の新演出《後宮》は演出家のセンスはいいみたいなので、問題はなさそうです。で、なんて発音するのかいまいち分からない名前の演出家ですがヘンデル好きのようだし、やってきた演目はいいものばかりで、アメリカには珍しい好き者のよう。夏にロバート・アルトマン／ウィリアム・ボルコムの《ウェディング》を新演出するそうだし、年末にはマルカントワーヌ・シャルパンティエの《ダヴィデとヨナタス》をシドニーで上演するというのも気になっていたので(ダヴィデがアンデシュ・J.ダーリンとうこともあり...)。
